Visiting this website
When you open these pages, the server processes technically necessary data (IP address, time, requested address, browser identification) to deliver the website and protect it against misuse (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR). These logs are deleted after a short period. The website is operated by Stefan Mayer (MES – Mayer EDV Services) as processor on servers in the EU.
Access statistics
To improve the website, the server counts without cookies how often pages are viewed and files downloaded, from which other websites (only their domain) visitors arrive and how often links to other websites are clicked. To count visitors per day, the server creates a checksum from the shortened IP address, browser identification and a random value that changes daily; it is deleted together with the random value after the day. IP addresses and individual requests are not stored, only daily totals; they do not allow conclusions about individuals and are deleted after 25 months. No data is passed on to third parties. The legal basis is our legitimate interest in a website that meets visitors' needs (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR).
Cookies
This website itself does not set cookies and does not use third-party analytics or advertising services. Third-party content (e.g. maps or videos) is only loaded after you click on it; only then does the provider receive data such as your IP address.
The only exception: if the website has not yet been released or pages are only available with an access code, the server sets a technically necessary cookie (“cms_vorschau”, encrypted, without personal data) after you enter the password or access code, so that you do not have to enter it on every page; it expires after 30 days at the latest (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR, § 165(3) Austrian Telecommunications Act 2021). Visitors of public pages only do not receive it.
Embedded content
Maps, videos and tours from other providers are only loaded when you click “Load content”. Only then does the provider receive data such as your IP address and browser identification and may set its own cookies. The legal basis is your consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR). If you choose “always load”, your browser remembers this for that provider (without a cookie, in local storage). You can withdraw your consent at any time: below the loaded content or here. Cookies already set by a provider can be deleted in your browser settings.
